Stefano Romerio was born in Switzerland. He studied at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern with legendary guitarist Ira Kriss.

After spending some time in Berlin he moved to New York where he played and recorded with :

Russ Johnson, Franco Ambrosetti, Harry Allen, Thomas Morgan, Pete Van Nostrand, Clovis Nicolas, Dave Mason, George Schuller and many others.

Going to New York was the best move for my musical growth and in fact anyone who wants to learn jazz seriously should come through New York.

Stefano Romerio then returned to Europe, first to Berlin, then Amsterdam and Switzerland.
